Beer lovers rejoice: the most wonderful time of year is almost upon us! ‘Tis the season for Marzens, Pilners and Dunkels as Oktoberfest Celebrations take over the province.

Looking to indulge in good beer, bratwursts and giant pretzels? These festivals have those in spades. Why not make a weekend of it?


Creemore Springs Oktoberfest at Blue

Check out the Creemore Beer Garden in the Events Plaza and sample German-inspired food & drink and enjoy live music, traditional German dancers, games and more festive fun! Rain or shine.

Beau’s Oktoberfest

Ninth annual edition of local craft brewery’s signature fundraising event to feature a 50-foot Ferris wheel, in addition to new restaurants and the popular School of Bock sessions. New topics for 2017 include How to Start a Brewery (In One Million Easy Steps), This Woman’s Work: Craft Beer Careers, and School of Hops: Understanding IPA; popular returning sessions from previous years are Pairing Beer and Cheese, and Pairing Seasonal Food and Beer. Tickets for School of Bock are $10 and can be purchased in advance on the Beau’s Oktoberfest website.

Toronto Oktoberfest

5,000 people dressed in dirndls and lederhosen attend Toronto’s largest Oktoberfest, celebrating Bavarian heritage with food, beer, music, and a fun fair modelled after the original Munich event. There’s no local craft beer options on offer.

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest

In 1969, the founding fathers of the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest saw this Bavarian tradition celebrated at the famous Concordia Club in Kitchener as an excellent opportunity to benefit the entire community by becoming a civic festival that celebrated our local German Canadian heritage. There are over 40 beer-related events, so be sure to visit Willkommen Platz, the central hub for all of your Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest needs.
