Ontario’s Best Pumpkin Picking Spots

One for the basket (or in this case wheelbarrow), one for me. It’s a time-honoured tradition, one that affords many delicious opportunities to explore Ontario’s rural places at your own pace.

We’ve gathered up some of our favourite pick-your-own spots into a nice little list for all you pumpkin-loving, bakers and carvers. Take an afternoon, visit a farm and pick your own this season! As with most activities this year, it’s a good idea to call ahead or check the farm’s website before you go – with limited capacity you may need to book ahead.

Merry Farms is one of the largest Christmas tree farms in Ontario and it makes for a truly magical experience to be surrounded by Christmas trees while you pick pumpkins.

While you’re there we also suggest checking out some of their other attractions like their obstacle course, pedal kart race track and their huge climbing spider web.

This year is the first-ever Pringles Harvest Festival! Happening on weekends until the end of October, you can take in the fall air with an 8-acre corn maze, hot drinks, kids play area, and food vendors. Starting in October the pumpkin patch will open, to pick-your-own – make sure you get your tickets in advance.

Happy pumpkin picking everyone!
