Edible Weed Walk

So many of the weeds we pull out of our vegetable gardens or walk by in our local parks are good to eat. Herbalist Danette Steele will teach us about the ultimate in local and sustainable food.  Participants will learn what types of weeds are edible on this weed walk, which will take us through Ben Nobleman Park and the Cedarvale ravine. Following the walk, we will have a weed tasting at our Harvest Table. (more…)

Toronto Carretilla Initiative at Luminato

Austrian artist Rainer Prohaska takes on the Toronto food scene, dispersing mobile kitchens throughout the city and assembling them into larger sculptures. The public is invited to collectively prepare, and partake in a meal during Luminato. Continue reading
