POSITION: Chief Executive Officer

Taste the County is the destination marketing tourism organization for Prince Edward County, Ontario. It is a private sector, non-profit incorporated body with industry membership of more than 250 local businesses. It’s a consumer driven marketing company directed by a dedicated Board of Directors and funded by membership fees, advertising & partnership funds, special events, grants and the County of Prince Edward.

The corporation is seeking a highly qualified entrepreneurial, marketing savvy individual for the leadership position of Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board, this  individual will lead the organization into its next phase of growth in line with the organization’s new Strategic Plan.

Working with a small staff, partners, stakeholders and the Board, this hands-on, exceptional leader will drive growth and awareness of Prince Edward County, as one of Canada’s top travel destinations.

Candidates will come with a strong background in marketing, communications, government relations, and fund & tourism development with a minimum of 8 years of management experience. A background in tourism or related industries is preferred, as is a strong working knowledge of community group engagement and Board relations.
